Cal Me Maybe is a Chrome extension that turns text you select on a web page into an event in your Google Calendar. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no Cal Me Maybe server, no account to create, and no analytics.

The extension reads page content only for text you have selected and then explicitly acted on with a keyboard shortcut, a right-click menu item, or the extension's own interface. It does not read, monitor or transmit pages you merely visit.
The extension requests the Google Calendar events scope, which allows it to create events. It uses this permission solely to create events you have approved. It does not list, read, modify or delete your existing calendar entries. It also requests your email address, used only to display which account is connected so you can confirm where events are going.
Google user data is never transferred to any third party, never used for advertising, never used to train any model, and is not read by any human.
To turn your selected text into an event, that text must be read by a language model. You choose which one in the extension's settings:
Your Google Calendar data is never sent to a model provider. Only the text you selected and the note you typed are.
Settings, API keys, your Google sign-in token, and a history of the events you have created are stored locally in your browser profile using Chrome's extension storage. Nothing is stored anywhere else. Capture history is capped and older entries are discarded automatically.
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from them.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the change noted in the project's public repository.
